No right is more precious in a free country than that of having a voice in the election of those who make the laws under which, as good citizens, we must live. Other rights, even the most basic, are illusory if the right to vote is undermined.

I am not being lawyer-lettered...

Sorry for the disappearing act - I had Stuff that appeared in my life. You know - the sort of Stuff that just sort of takes over and seems like the only important thing left in the universe....

So I can't do the daily quote anymore :( I just do not have the time.

Also, is it just me or has the election just ground down into two losers playing at being losers? I mean, aside from hoping that Hillary Clinton and Wesley Clark bolt the party and set up their own, what is there?

Even so, I am going to start adding posts again in a day or two. (Not that I expect to have any readers anymore. But I never did this with the expectation of anyone actually, you know, reading anything....)

You still have readers!

Come to correntewire if maintaining your own blog is too much weight, and you want to see something happening besides the dismal election campaign.

I'm so glad you're back, but mainly I'm glad you're all right. (I was worrying about stuff like a car accident.) Next time, please just let us know that you'll be away.

I like Corrente (it's one of the few I still read since I stopped focusing so much on Obamafest '08).

But I think I am too far to the right of the people there on a couple of the most hot-button issues of the day. (I only find myself writing about issues where I disagree with liberals - not the issues where I disagree with conservatives). That is what keeps me from trying to get active in the community I see forming (or is that re-forming?)
